[edit]Some great additions to this page, it'd be nice to get it on the front page some day! --PopUpPirate 00:08, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
Reservoirs
[edit]I've added a template for the Rivington chain, with info from the United Utilities site, I'd've added a template for the chain on the east side of the moors, but I'm unsure of the water flow. --PopUpPirate 23:28, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- Some good work you're doing here, I agree about getting it to the front page. I'm not sure all these reservoirs justify having separate articles tbh - I started the Haslingden Grane article, where there are 3 reservoirs, but I don't think there's a lot to say about them individually. I'll try to add a bit more info about the eastern side, atm the article concentrates mainly on the Rivington and Anglezarke areas. Also I think a lot of the history section could be moved to separate articles. Lancsalot 13:20, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
- Likewise, good work - there's possibly enough info on the reservoirs, although I'm unsure about the new article I've created for The Street (Rivington) - perhaps thats a bit too selective! But again, there's a lot of history to it and got some good old photos. At the moment I'm concentrating on getting the facts in, whilst I've got a couple of decent books to hand. Cheers! --PopUpPirate 23:02, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Origin of the name
[edit]Has anyone in the Bolton or Horwich are ever been heard to call this area "West Pennine Moors"? I have never heard it and it sounds an artificial name thought up by a bureaucrat somewhere. Perhaps the origin of the name can be given in the article --jmb (talk) 18:10, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit]This article was a mixture of bits of other articles, I am trying to make it more about the West Pennine Moors in general, more about how the area has developed over time and less about the particular settlenemts which are linked and easily accessible.--J3Mrs (talk) 22:16, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
